Welcome to Toppu, a Japanese restaurant on Franklin Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. We serve the everyday classics of a Japanese kitchen — hand-rolled sushi and sashimi, rich tonkotsu ramen, chicken and beef teriyaki, udon, stir-fried noodles, fried rice and donburi rice bowls — all prepared to order for dine-in and pickup.

Our sushi bar cuts to order. Choose from single nigiri and sashimi, classic maki rolls, or our special rolls such as the Volcano Tonkatsu ($16.95). If you want to build your own set, the Any Two Roll ($16.95) and Any Three Roll ($21.95) combinations let you pick your favorites, and our sushi combos and bento boxes — including a vegan bento — come plated with miso soup or salad.

If you are here for noodles, our ramen is built on slow-simmered broth; the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen ($17.95) is the bowl to start with. We also serve udon in soup, stir-fried udon and lo mein, and kitchen plates like General Tso's chicken ($17.95), sesame chicken, orange chicken, beef with broccoli and karaage curry, each served with rice.

Weekday lunch is where Toppu is best value. Our lunch combos start at $9.45 and include a free miso soup or salad: sushi roll combos at $12.95 in shrimp, salmon, vegetable or double spicy, teriyaki chicken at $12.95, beef with broccoli at $13.95 and curry karaage don at $13.99.

Toppu is a short walk from Quincy Center and easy to reach from Wollaston, North Quincy, Braintree and Milton. Order ahead online and your food is usually ready for pickup in about 20 minutes, or come in and eat at the bar.
